Twenty-eight (28) out of school youths were given by ANCOP Canada a chance to transform their lives by sponsoring them to enroll in any of two one-year vocational courses in Tailoring/Dressmaking and Hotel and Hospitality at the Teresa Van Miert Development Centre in Kenya.
“I am really thankful to the Lord by sending ANCOP as a vehicle for me to turn my life into a productive life. It will empower me to get the skills I need to be able to work and a chance for a better life”, quips Linet Kwamboka Mobasi, one of the sponsored children under this new program.
After receiving their certificates of completion, the graduates of the Hotel and Hospitality class will have a big chance to be employed in the different restaurants, resorts and hotels while those from the Tailoring can start their small tailoring business in their respective homes or be employed in bigger tailoring shops.
God has indeed paved the way for ANCOP Canada to empower these children to be better members of the society and to have a stronger and firm faith in the Lord.
