Meet Pricilla Uathimo Muinde. A sweet 7-year old girl from Kenya. She was named after the friends of St. Paul, tent makers and saints, Pricilla and Aquila. Her second name Uathimo is a Kiswahili word which means blessing.
She is under the ANCOP Child Sponsorship Program since 2014 when she was still in Kindergarten. Currently she is in Grade 1. Since then she has maintained good grades and is always included in the honor roll of her class.
At the end of the first semester of this school year, she became No. 1 in her class, a feat she has long been wanting to achieve. For her to be able to attain this goal, she would wake up early in the morning to study which a child of her age would find it hard to do. She does this on her own, without necessarily being reminded to and without supervision. Her dedication, perseverance and passion gave her the prize – to be the top achiever of her class.
A book lover, inquisitive and observant child, she was born September 27, 2009. Her parents said she is kind hearted and would play role games as a teacher which is also her ambition.
The family of Pricilla is very thankful for the work ANCOP is doing because without their help and love, Pricilla might not be able to go to school. It has given hope not only to Pricilla but also to her siblings and taught them to always put education as their top priority.
From your Ancop Family, congratulations Pricilla! Keep up the good work.
