July 5, 2025 – CFC Calgary-ANCOP Men’s Doubles Tennis Tournament
At Glenmore Athletic Park, this year’s tournament was a resounding success! Though rain was in the forecast, by the grace of God it held off, leaving behind cooling clouds that made for perfect playing conditions.
Fourteen players across different age groups representing the clusters of Calgary, brought energy, camaraderie, and competitive spirit to the court. The tournament featured two groupings and followed a round-robin format, with matches played as a single set to 8.
The champion was the pairing of Bro Orly Alcantara and Bro Brando Caoile from South A3, while the runner-up went to Bro Joe Ventura (South A1) and Bro Danny Santiago — both pairs demonstrating remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship.
As a CFC event at its core, the tournament began with a heartfelt prayer for the safety and brotherhood camaraderie of the players and the benefactors of this tournament, ANCOP.
Thanks to the generous support of players and sponsors, the tournament raised $1,000+ for ANCOP, helping make a lasting impact in the lives of those we serve.
Special thanks to the organizers – Bro Senen Taunan, and Bro Chris Tsai—for their tireless work and dedication in making this event a meaningful and memorable experience for all.
