The ANCOP Walk in Calgary continued to bring together an incredible community of people, families, friends, supporters, donors, sponsors who want to show their support and the opportunity to join together in making a difference.
The Joey Albert and Ray-An Fuentes benefit concert was full of nostalgia. Their voices were powerful and still the same.
The event last February 18 raised around $21,000 including pledges and Child Sponsorships valued annually or per indicated no. of support months. Looking at the large number of non-CFC attendees, one can see that the awareness objective of the event also come into forefront. This is also true in that some of those who have offered support are CFCs who for the first time have given their pledge.
It was a bright and beautiful sunny day that Saturday on August 20, when over 600 people from all over Calgary converged on “Festival Market” in Eau Claire. A large gathering by any account and, as I was told, a new record for ANCOP’s Calgary “Global Walk”, a charity event aimed at transforming the lives of impoverished children and their families.
