Every year, CFC Calgary reserves one Saturday morning in August to walk for the poor. They show their enthusiasm and motivation regardless of the weather and busyness of schedule. Why? Simply because the love for our Lord Jesus Christ is not complete if we don’t love our neighbors.
The passion and dedication from our CFC leaders led the CFC members to be united and to have one common goal which is to walk and give hope to the poor. Bro Ernie Cancio welcomed the participants. An inspirational speech and prayer were given by our brothers, Bro German Roldan and Bro Manny Canete.
CFC and the Family Ministries together with their family and friends and invited guests were all excited. The day started with clear skies and cool temps and progressed to a bright and sunny day. It was perfect for the walk. The ANCOP Walk becomes a part of their lives and they hold dear in their hearts the significance of this walk. Our dedicated CFC wives went the extra mile to raise additional funds by bringing delicious food to sell. Some of our event sponsors were present to show their support. Everybody posed and took pictures using our huge start/finish line float banner as background. Our energetic HOLD sisters led the dance warm up. There were lots of selfies and picture taking during the walk. Bro Kevin Alvarez set up a photo booth and picture taking was free for everyone to enjoy and for remembrance. Our very talented SFC/ YFC band rendered beautiful songs that made everybody even bystanders stop and listen enthusiastically to their music. Everybody wore a smile after the walk event feeling healthy and refreshed. Again love and hope triumphed. All glory and honor belongs to our God.
