Danica Obillos belongs to a poor family. She had to share her father’s meager income as Laborer with two (2) other siblings. What Danica lacks in material things, God has gifted her with a sharp mind, a patient attitude and a hopeful demeanor. She believes God has a wonderful plan for everyone.
ANCOP Canada has been instrumental in fulfilling Danica’s dream of a college education. She became a scholar of Canada in her kinder year until she completed college in 2015, a span of 15 long years of uninterrupted educational assistance. ANCOP Canada provided a lifeline to Danica’s sustained education by way of school uniforms, shoes, supplies, food/transportation allowances books and other school related items. She also obtained value formation inputs which are integral component of the Child Sponsorship Program or CSP.
Danica is an active member of the Kids for Christ (KFC) and later on as Youth for Christ, two ministries of the Couples for Christ (CFC) that nurtured her spirituality and helped her become a better and Christian student. She started to perform exemplary in academics during high school and belonged to Top Ten of the graduating class.
Danica was an academic scholar at Systems Technology Institute (STI) for the 4 years she was in college. The educational support provided by ANCOP Canada was used mainly for food, transportation and project expenses, which allowed her to focus on her studies with minimal obstacles especially on the financial requirements of her studies. Danica was a consistent Dean’s Lister and obtained her Information Technology degree at STI with Cum Laude honors.
Right after graduation, Danica joined the workforce as Software Engineer in E-Claro, Inc, an IT company in Quezon City. She credits ANCOP Canada for all the help that were extended to her. She believes she could not have attained so much without the assistance of her second parents in Canada.
