During the ANCOP Walk 2018 Launch Gala and appreciation night, the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) was one of the 15 honorees for their support and dedication in raising awareness to our youth and the academe of the plight of the poor and the poverty situation in third world countries like the Philippines.
For the past seven years, led by Michael Consul and supported by Adventure Learning Experiences (ALE), they’ve sent a contingent of students from several Catholic secondary schools, faculty and clergy to immerse in ANCOP Communities.
Annually during their Christmas break, they spend time with our ANCOP home partners, played with ANCOP scholars and kids from the villages, visited orphanages, shared their time and talent to bring glad tidings of the poor.
Last April 7, Michael Consul was honored together with the latest batch of high school students and faculty with a certificate of appreciation for all their efforts. The youth also shared their life-changing and eye opening experience from the service trip.
This video from their last trip in December summarizes their experience.
