On December 28, 2016, 23 students, 4 teachers and 1 adult volunteer from the Toronto Catholic District School Board boarded a plane to Manila, Philippines. Team #PH2016 will be putting their faith into action by serving some of the neediest people in the world.
Immediately from departing from the airport, the TCDSB team visited the barangay of Don Galo, a community 10 min away from the airport.
Each student was asked to fill their second luggage with as many donations they can accumulate. The delegation will be distributing these donations to 5 different villages, 1 orphanage, and 1 elementary school.
After sorting all of the donations at the hotel, the delegation traveled to last year’s build site Masagana to reconnect with the community.
