Founded by the Couples for Christ (CFC), ANCOP was created for the purpose of consolidating the efforts of CFCs' and other partners' efforts in Building the Church of the Poor through various programs.
Our Mission
The ANCOP Mission is to "Answer the Cry of the Poor".
We answer the cry of the poor through effective child education and community development programs, anchored on values formation.
We develop partnerships that together achieve a shared vision, and sharing of resources for the poor.
We generate a cadre of volunteers, witnessing to the ideals of loving God and neighbour, and putting faith into action.
We effectively communicate our work, generating awareness and interest on the plight of the poor, spurring a meaningful response to their needs.
We help transform the lives of poor children & their families, helping restore hope and dignity.
Our Vision & Values
ANCOP envisions a world where every poor child and family is blessed, and becomes a blessing to their communities.
Connected to CFC's vision as "Families in the Holy Spirit renewing the face of the earth", ANCOP aims to renew the face of the earth by strengthening families ready to share God's transforming love with the poor.
In bringing Christ’s transforming love to the poor, ANCOP Canada envisions “A poor child and family blessed, and a blessing to transformed communities.”
A world where the poor is embraced and cared for.
A world where every child is formed to be caring and loving, and responsible citizen.
A world where children and communities improve their well-being, and
A world where the joy of Christ’s transforming love is experienced and fulfilled.
About Our Global Operation
ANCOP International Canada is an international humanitarian organization with global ground operations in various countries in Africa and Asia.
We currently operate, and have strong partnerships, in the African nations of Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Sierra Leone. In Asia, ANCOP International Canada is present in India, the Philippines, and Thailand.
And our global footprint continues to grow, as we seek to extend help to a vast pool of poor, underprivileged children.
ANCOP Canadian operations are ably supported by regional operations coordinators in Western, Central and Eastern Canada.
Our team is composed of only a few employees, but also joining them are many generous volunteers from across Canada who offer their time, talent, and treasure to help us answer the cry of the poor.
Main Pillar Programs
Education Sponsorship Program
The ANCOP Education Sponsorship Program (ESP) is a one-to-one sponsor-to-scholar relationship providing for a total program benefit package that includes education, healthcare, and socio-cultural-spiritual enhancement for both sponsored children and their parents.
Community Development Program
The ANCOP Community Development Program (CDP) is a holistic community transformation program, highlighted by the building of modestly-sized but durable homes, in properly vetted sites with functioning water, electricity and drainage facilities. In conjunction with physical transformation, the ANCOP CDP triggers personal behaviour transformation through spiritual & values formation, family renewal and civic-consciousness. This ensures the sustainability of both home upkeep, personal attitude change and civic-mindedness in the community.
Humanitarian Relief
The ANCOP Humanitarian Relief Program is a calamity and disaster relief program that provides humanitarian aid in the form of relief goods, financial assistance, shelter kits to repair homes and other provisions, in poor areas around the world devastated by typhoons, earthquakes and other natural and man-made disasters.
