World Day of the Poor 2017

Pope Francis called for the first World Day of the Poor today Sunday, November 19.

Remember to say an extra “Our Father” with your family this Sunday, and let us not forget that “Our Father” is the prayer of the poor. #PopeFrancis.

The World Day of the Poor is being marked not only in Rome, but also in parishes around the world and Mons Sylva says that the Pontifical Council for the Promotion for the New Evangelization has published information on its website in six languages as a pastoral aid for dioceses and parishes worldwide who wish to take part in this initiative. We need to encounter the poor and learn how to share so that it becomes a way of life. Pope Francis said.
